2012 Resolutions

It's taken me some time, but I've finally come up with a list of resolutions for 2012. Instead of resolutions however, I've decided to come up with some words to live by, or my motto for this next year. Here it goes...
  • Spend more time doing things that bring me joy, and learn to say "no" more often to doing things that don't.
  • Live a life of love, patience and compassion.
  • Learn to forgive and let go.
  • Travel (not for work, but for fun) see and explore new places.
  • Worry less about what others think of me. I tend to worry a lot about this, but I'm starting to learn that most of the time people are more concerned with their own lives, rather than yours.
  • Live in the present, and enjoy the moment.
  • Be a better sister, daughter, granddaughter, and friend.
  • Spend more time surrounded by the people who care about me, and less time trying to impress the people who don't.
  • Be adventurous, be active, and pursue my passions.
I hope your 2012 rocks! What are you choosing to do differently this year?

Amazing resolutions. I agree with the 'dont worry about what others think of me'. I'll never forget a tough learning moment I had when I was about 18. I was stressed out because I thought someone in my life was saying negative things about me. I was talking to my mom about it, and she said "you know, contrary to your belief, not everyone is thinking about you and your life all the time. Get over yourself." Ouch! it hurt - but it was so true! It's been so much easier to let go of worry - get over myself! :)

Hi Bri! I will have to say that BESOS by Bri instantly caught my attention. What a darling blog of yours and you are SO pretty! It's always great to meet people who are proud of their heritage. So happy I found your blog and excited to learn more about your fascinating life. Those are some of the best resolutions I've read so far. The fact that you want to focus on forgiving and compassion says a lot about you. Hope you get to travel the world. I sure still dream of it (even with three kiddos)

Hi Bri, nice blog! I'm over from iblog4me. I like your resolutions... I usually don't do any, but I'll have to adopt one of yours, to spend more time with people who care about me, and stop trying to impress those who don't. Also will try to continue doing things I enjoy, although I don't really have time for it. Just because it makes me feel good. Well, have a great week!

What a great list! I especially like saying no to things you don't love. And the whole bad ass 2012 picture is pretty awesome.
